A Hindu wedding ceremonies are very colourful, and celebrations may extend for several days. The rituals and processes of a Hindu wedding vary widely. The bride’s and groom’s home—entrance, doors, wall, floor, roof—are sometimes decorated with colors, balloons, and other decorations.
A Hindu wedding traditionally takes place over three days, though some couples may choose to condense events to make it easier. The first event, the ganesh pooja, is an intimate family gathering that begins the festivities. Next is the sangeet, which is usually attended by most guests and traditionally takes place on the second day, as does the mehndi ceremony. The main Hindu wedding ceremony and reception take place on the third day.
